Setting Email Notifications
One feature of the DataPreserve Remote Backup solution is that confirming emails are set after every backup. If you are not receiving confirming emails there are several reasons for that. Please walk through the below steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Open the Remote Backup Client software by double clicking on the blue/gold/white "shield" icon near your computers clock.
2. Go to Tools-->Manage Backup Sets.
3. Click on "Next" until you arrive at the following screen:

4. Check to make sure the e-mail address entered is correct (be careful, one typing error and you will not receive the notice). Make any changes if necessary.
5. Click on the "Test e-mail" button.
6. If you get the following message then go to your e-mail to make sure you received your e-mail.

7. If you still did not receive your email, please contact us so that we can see if your ISP is blocking the email or if there may be another issue. If the email was not sent successfully, double check your entry to see if there may be typing errors. If there are no apparent errors in spelling and you are able to receive email from other recipients, please contact us so that we can do some additional troubleshooting.
