AVG Anti-virus and DataPreserve Remote Backup 3.0
The popular anti-virus program AVG may mistakenly identify the DataPreserve Remote Backup 3.0 file Acct.Mgr.exe as a virus. This causes the following issue:
Upon opening the Account Manager or Client Manager the user will see the following message from AVG software – “VirusIdentified Linux/TFN.D”
Scheduled backups, however, will continue normally.
Please advise affected customers to do the following steps when they want to access their Account Manager or Client Manager:
Disable AVG Antivirus
Open the DataPreserve Account Manager and do whatever functions are required
Close the DataPreserve Account Manager
Re-enable the AVG
